A few freebies!

I've been working hard trying to help ALL of my students learn our music and be prepared for our concert.  I don't really do playing tests, but I wanted my students to feel a little pressure to practice and learn the tricky passages.  So, I designed the P.A.S.S  system.  It's just a quick way for me to watch everyone play and let them know if they are on target.  I then give students some practice time in class and I help individual students who are not yet on target.

Free HERE!  Print the 2 pages on one paper - back and front. Give students 5-10 minutes to practice each of the passages. Next, students fold the paper in half and and hang it over their music stands so the shorter assessment table is in view. The teacher can then quicky mark each student's paper as the class plays through the passages a few times.

The day after PASS activity, I had student do pretty much the same activity again ...to give students who were not on target the day before another chance to practice and get help.  We used 20 minutes of class time for all students to practice with their stand partners.  I showed this awesome video to motivate students to keep working and FINISH STRONG!
